I'll be shooting this cute little girl's first birthday party in a month, and we just finished up her portrait session. I still need to get to all the images, but here's one for now. Thanks for looking!

Tim

EDIT: I've just added the color version below. I think her pink and white colors go nicely with the subtle colors of the stone ground, wood wall, and the green and yellow in the background. I did some "transforming" to correct some of the perspective distortion. I also went with a slightly looser crop. I'm happy with how it turned out, and I'd love to hear what you all think. Thanks! btw, I have so many more to get to, hopefully soon!

Sorry, Tim. This just doesn't work for me...

You cannot start a thread and only post one image. We always want to see more!! Great shot and looking forward to the rest and the birthday shots. :D

BTW - Do you just have amazing timing or do you shoot in burst mode?

Tyler's Mom...thank you very much!

moeronn...you had me going there for a bit! Boy, was I relieved. Hopefully I can post some more soon. I have so many other sessions to get to as well. You know, I've never really liked shooting burst. I guess I just sit/lay there until I see the expression I want.

I like the b&w conversion and how you place the subject to the frame.

Tim, you are one of my favourite people shooter person on this board.

Having said that I have to be honest, this photo seems to emphasize too much of the girl's head making it over-sized and odd. Were you using a WA lens?

Rick...thank you very much! I appreciate it.

ohtography...thank you very much! I appreciate your comments.

delhi...thank you very much for the kind words and for your honest comments! I used my 35L, and in the original crop, I left myself plenty of room, but nevertheless, I think the combination of the 35mm and her head being so far in front of her body did affect the perspective a bit. I'm glad you pointed that out. I might play with "transform" a bit to see if I can minimize the look.
