I went up to that Mobil 1 car swap in Watkins Glen yesterday. I only got one good shot out of the many I took. Shivering and my autofocus points being set wrong caused most of the pics to be blurred or out OOF. This was taken outside of turn 1 at 1/250, 70-200 f4 w/1.4 extender.

Saw the show last night on Speed. Good stuff for sure. Very interesting listening to each other's comments on the respective cars. Too bad the track was damp or we would have seen faster times. Regardless, you put either of these guys in any race car and I'm sure they'd excel.

I would have cropped closer but still a decent shot. Thanks for braving the elements to get out there.

Good stuff, read about this on F1.com

Unfortuantly Mr Hamilton is not a popular person over here at the moment!

Oh...Hello :)

Actually Lewis got a roaring applause, probably because he did a nice smokey doughnut at the start finish line on his last lap.

The weather sucked, 52°F and a 15mph wind.

This pic didn't turn out too bad of him in the Stewartmobile, you can't see through the nets though to tell it's him:

^^^ I need to get a better program than photoshop elements, you only have one level of sharpen to choose from in this version, TOO MUCH...

Also I didn't crop any closer to get in the trademark baby blue guardrails of WGI

From seeing Stewart in the F1 car at the track, he did a great job. Once he got it rolling without stalling it, he took right too it.

One good thing of the "seat swap" is that NASCAR might start using the full course including the "boot" in the future.

I wonder of they had to grease the sides of the seat to fit his big ass in there.

I think Tony got the better end of this deal. Would love to drive a F1 car.
