What i mean by this is shooting small objects like lens, rings, toys, watches, ect. I have been using my 70-200 II for this but can not get close enough for some smaller details. I like my 24-105 but just find it is not as sharp and my 70-200. What do you think would be better a 150L, 100L, 135L, Sigma 150, mpe 65. What would you choose and why? Leaning towards 100L. I also plan to go full frame in the near future

100L would be a nice choice for sure or get a set of extension tubes.

+1 for a set of extension tubes - Kenko. Their air is as good as Canon's! :-)

I have shot macro with a Canon 100/2.8 Macro, Kenko ext. tubes and a Sigma 150/2.8 Macro. All of the above performed very well.

The Canon 100/2.8 non L had a good balance on my 40D, and a good working distance--almost 7" (distance from the front of the lens to the subject).

The stacked Kenkos were a bit odd in balance, but produce excellent images. I frequently used the 18-55 IS lens in this set up.

The Sigma 150/2.8 was the best overall macro solution I have used. Working distance was nearly 8", really helps out it getting light on the subject without your rig getting in the way of lighting. Sharp wide open, and sharper stoped down. It's a heavy lens but it comes with a tripod collar.

Hope this helps.

I wouldn't bother with the canon 100 L for product shoots. Negligible increase in sharpness, IS which isn't much use since you can use a tripod indoors, weathersealing which again isn't much use since you're indoors. Save the money for lighting or products to shoot and get a siggy 105, tamron 90, tokina 100, or a canon 100 ;)

100L IS and 180L, or even TS 90 would be a great choice as well. The 180 has outstanding IQ and nicely build.
