What lens will work with my 1D Mark iii

Tamron Di-II and Sigma DC lenses are designed for the smaller APS-C sensor so, while they will fit your 1D, you will experience vignetting at some apertures and focal lengths.

All of those are APS-C optimized lenses with smaller image circles, so you'd get some vignetting with all of them on the wider end with a 1D. Possibly vignetting on the majority of the rest of their focal lengths.

You can tell this from the DC title in the Sigmas and the Di-II in the Tamron.

Any of those will mount on to your 1D3 and work... now wether or not the images are useable is your call. Know, that you will experience heavy vignetting with all three lenses through all focal lengths. There was someone here who put a Tamron 17-50 on a aps-h and posted pics let me see if I can find the thread.
