now this is PERFECTION! I love everything about this shot, the arms are perfect the cute little feet are exactly where they should be and the expression is wonderful! (must be the same baby from the last image you posted with mom?)....

you have crisp sharp images with wonderful white balance, mind sharing what you shoot with? oh and love the background is it a floor piece???

Blondine: Thank you for a nice feeback! Yes, this is the same baby I posted with the mom.
I shooted this pic with Canon 5D Mark II, and EF 24-105 at F4.0 with Flash 580 EXII 45 degree to the wall. I want to use natural light but the room is quite dark.

For photoshop, I did redness reduction, curve, shadow-hightlight to taste.

The background is the Floor piece (rubber mat) I just stick it on the wall with the stoch tapes, it is quite heavy thou, need to have biggger size stoch tapes with me next time.

This worked out really well, I'm sure the mom is thrilled with the results. The baby's pose and the lighting look very nice. If I had to nitpick I would say next time try to get the baby a little futher away from the b/g.

Did by happen take any shots showing the setup? Can you share a few of the links on how to do this safely? That would be great.

@ dwarrenr: Here is the link for the lesson in Youtube. My setting is pretty similar to the vedio only i didnt use studio lighting but just my 580EXII mixed with ambient light.

Anamaria is a great photographer and teacher. I have learned a lot from her via her website.

Those are great resource for a person like me who lives far away from America and cant afford a very expensive trainings. So i spend a lot of time surfings and practice on my own. Hope this helps.

Thank you to you all. I really do treasure your guys inputs!

@ Liz: Yes i tried also to move further from the background but it was not comfortable for me coz my background is a small piece, so in m viewfinder i see the white wall too so didnt want to clone that out in the photoshop. However, if i have a bigger background size, i would do. Thanks for pointing this out.

@SF1: Thanks! The hard material came with the piece i bought. It is made of a small piece of white towel rolled inside to support the baby. I feel more comfortable using this style because of my inexperience posing the baby. I see a lot from famous photographers that they did not use this kind of support, i will try it one day when i am more condident.
