Yesterday I purchased a new G12, My wife, and sons pitched in for some of the monies for my Fathers day gift, so I added the difference and Wow I like it. I just sold all my DSLR gear, so I understand all the functions so far. I hope to post pic's soon, glad to join this forum.

Congratulations!!! I hope you love it. Give it a chance & please do not expect DSLR shutter speed. It is a great little camera but cannot be compared to your DSLR. POST Father Day photos!!!
