Personally, I see those photos and I think I could probably do something similar and strive to do it better if I can. That's just how photography is to me I guess. If Joe Blow can do those types of shots then so can I.

Shampoo sounds like an unfortunate name for a hair product.
You're a ghost driving a meat-coated skeleton made from stardust, riding a rock, hurtling through space. Fear Nothing!

All the time, man.

But I keep on rollin', hoping one day I'll bag a good one. So far I've only caught bluegill. But someday I'll get me the biggest large mouth in the pond. :)

Thank you. bw!

Wait, so you see somebody do something better and decide to quit? Im quite the opposite. When I see amazing photos is just fills me up with inspiration to get out there and snap away.

i know i know...most the time i do just get inspired but i had this feeling there's the beauty that i wanted to contribute to the world and there it is...already done...so why do i even need to try anymore..

I don't know about you, but I shoot photos because I enjoy it. I don't give a rat's ass whether I creatively contribute to the world or not.

That said, whenever I see stunning work, as others have stated already, I get inspired by it and want to do better.

It's a never ending journey so just try to enjoy the ride! :D

Yes. I get into funks because I wish I had a 100% VF or at the very least, increased FPS (at least 5 or so) and would like to go wider than 5.6 at certain focal lengths. Anyone can do good work with basic tools if they dedicated themselves to it, but there are times where the higher end tools just produce a sharper looking product i.e. sculpting with a chisel instead of dull spoon.

A lot of the time, but I don't want to sell, I want to get better. Also, if people like their photography more than yours, even though yours is good, it is down to probably a) they are friends of the photographer b) it is someone's else opinion, so just go out and enjoy your photography

I wouldn't say it makes me want to sell my gear but it does discourage me a bit. But then it just makes me want to work harder and hopefully someday make someone else feel the same way

I see a lot of great work, internet helps. But it just makes me want to learn more, learn how to be better at doing what I like. :)
