While going thru some prints from the homestead this image shot by my father-in-law who was an Army Air Force recon guy in Pacific theater got stuck in my head. Thought I'd share on his behalf and salute the brave guys who maybe didn't make it back on this sortie. Some amazing photography! Navy PB4Y in your picture. Here's one I saw yesterday at Lone Star Flight Museum in Galveston, Texas. 7D2, 50D , Canon 50mm 1.8, Canon 10-22mm 3.5, Tamron 17-50mm 2.8, Canon 100mm 2.8 Macro, Canon 100-400mm L II, Canon Speedlite 430EX II, Sigma 18-250

That is why I love photography so much. So many years later and it can still be as powerful as if you were there. Proud father of a 10 year old son with Down Syndrome.

Jun 18, 2011 09:27 | #10 I really enjoy the wealth, knowledge, and talent of this forum. Thanks for the instructional advice and the awesome imagery. There is not a better way to learn and enjoy photography. We found the PB4Y image in a box labeled 312 Bomb Grp (L) AAF, Photo Section, A.P.O. 70. ...chasing light, now there's a hobby!
