I needed a cheap bag to store my BD and found this from Flickr forum:

Most drum cases that are 24in across are about 18 deep and they are not as cheap as the OP suggested. I'd rather go without padding and save some money.

Sure, if you just need something to carry the BD in, without padding the BD isn't protected at all.

As for drumcases you can get them in many different sizes and different paddings.

Thanks for the ideas for the bd cases I've been using the box that the bd came in but that will not last forever.
