I need your expert suggestion...

I have searched this forum after spending the last few days trying to delete selected files in a DPP folder.

If Folder named 2011_06_17 has 400 RAW files and I want to delete 250 and keep 150 how do I select the 250 and delete them all at once? Right now I select each and delete and it takes too much time. I tried moving to Collection Folder but I ran into some other issues.

Is there an efficient way to delete several RAW files in a DPP folder?

Once you've selected them, can't you just right click and delete?

Select the images you want to delete in the DPP main window, and press Cmd+backspace. (File > Delete)

I only find an option to "Select All" so if I am dumping the entire folder that works. But I can't find an option to select some. I want the option to only select the ones I want to delete and to be able to do it all at once rather than select IMG9000 delete, IMG9001 delete, IMG 9002 delete, etc.

Ctrl + click each one to select. Also, if there are several in a row - click the first one and then Shift + click the last one and it will select all the images in between the two. If one gets selected that you don't want to delete, just Ctrl + click it to deselect.

Select first, press shift, click the last one you want to select.
Everything in between will be selected.

Alternatively: Cm(Ctrl)+click each one you want to select.

Easier would (have) be(en) to use checkmarks or ratings, then select all of those. Or press X to reject. Then go Edit > Rating > Select rejected images only.

Dennis and Rene thanks a million. That's what I was looking for.

Ps. My basic problems are: I hate post-processing and Adobe CS5 is too expensive. I was very comfortable shooting Velvia and letting the lab do the processing. But things have changed and for the better. I just don't have the patience for post-processing. I am considering paying someone who is a pro with CS5 to do my PP.
