So yesterday i had the honor of shooting a 2year old's bday party... It was one of the hardest things that i had to shoot yet.. the party was outside under harsh afternoon sunlight with no shade, not to mention the fact that little kids do not stand still even for a second. There was a petting zoo/pony rides, and then a hard storm pulled with crazy hard rain. We had to relocate inside where the power went out...another nightmare lighting situation. Thank god for shooting in RAW and being able to resurrect some a lot of the images..and even though not perfect, they ended up being acceptable. Out of the 1000 pics i shot i ended up doing post processing on 280 of them, a lot, i know.. but i know the families are much less picky about the images and want pics that i would throw out for memories. I am also working on a batch processing technique which saves me almost half the time working with photoshop after i do the RAW editing, i recorded an action that runs through a 3-stage sharpening, a resize, stroke, and save command all automatically.. I figured i can even do that for the majority of pictures that are shot in more acceptable lighting situations and go back and do a better touch up on the potential prints... I am also considering picking up lightroom 3 as it seems i can do an extensive batch process there and then turn to photoshop for any extensive post..... anyway, sorry for the long-winded post, here are some of the pics.
