I purchased my 5Dc used and would like to change the owners name in the exif data to mine. Does anyone have a cd containing the utility for the 5Dc?

If you already have the utility for your 40d installed, you should be able to download software at Canon that will cover your 5d..

.... Got some cameras; got some glass ..... I just need one more of each.....

Apparently not, when I plug the 5D into my computer, there is no driver on the most current EOS Utility. Apparently since Canon no longer supports the 5D, they do not include the drivers on the EOS utility cd. When i plug my 40D into my computer, it automatically downloaded a driver for the 40D, not sure if this comes from the EOS utility or from Win 7.

There are copies available on various bit-torrent sites.

From what I understand, the real issue is compatibility with Win 7. I seen where people have had success running in XP mode, you have to do a manual extract and installation of the drivers though.

....the best camera is the one you have on you at the time.

Actually Windows 7 works ok for me; its XP where I still have to use explorer to copy and paste the files.

When I turn the 5D on in Windows 7, it comes up with a little dialog to choose what to do, and I pick the "Use Canon Software" and the Utility pops up and works fine after that. Windows XP does nothing when I plug the camera in and when I run the Utility, the button to start downloading is disabled like it does not sense the camera.

Even though I have a 16GB Sandisk 60MB/s card, its slower than molasses on either machine. My 60D & 7D spit out files twice as fast (not actually tested, but you know what I mean). I am expecting an external USB2 card reader I recently bought on POTN this week; hopefully I'll have less waiting and more pics :)
