Firmware update, should I?

Hi guys,

I am new to this forum (and new to my G2). My camera works great, but having noticed the more up-to-date 1.1.0.0 firmware, I am starting to wonder whether I should upgrade. Please help and share your experience.

My main concern is whether I can get any image quality improvements from it (I save images as raw. I have an external charger). My other considerations would be AF speed (especially continuous mode), and battery life.

It is always a good idea to update firmware. Much more important than software updates. I would definitely recommend doing it.

OK, as a brand new owner (:-0), how do I upgrade the firmware?

Choose your camera model from the list. This will bring up a pop up window with instructions and the firmware file download location. It is very easy to do as long as you follow the instructions to the letter.
