Here is the image of the first take from 3 weeks ago:

Following the suggestions given last time I shot the watch from above, used a white background and changed the time to 10:10 (or actually 10:09). I cropped to help make the comparison easier.

Let me have ALL the criticism. Don't worry about hurting my feeling and don't apologize for any blunt remarks.

It seems to blend into the white background too much. Do happen to have a black background?

i am not a stock or product photographer, so i can't really offer any advice, but this photo just doesnt do it for me at all. it appears to be very blown and bland and no separation from the background.

with product photography and jewelry in particular, i'm sure the lighting is going to be the hardest part to overcome and learn. i highly doubt outside lighting is going to work for you in this instance.

i would suggest a black velvet background or even a dark blue.

go to the rolex site, look at theirs, the lighting is exquisite! http://www.rolex.com/ (external link)
