Here's an image I took in Amsterdam in early May 2011. It's composed of 13 individual shots, merged together with Photoshop, finessed with some NIK & OnOne software with slightly blurred vignette. The tilted buildings are not a lens aberration. They were really tilting due to the marshy land that Amsterdam was built on. Comments?

Love Amsterdam. A lack of focus in the corners and there are some perspective issues.

Nice shot. The blurry vignette is not something I would do. It gives me the impression that there's something wrong with my eye.

I would recommend dodging the shadows some, particularly on the left.

Also, I am wondering, why are the structures/items on the left out of focus ? I would crop the whole out of focus part out. There is no benefit that I can see in pulling your viewer down the water and out of your shot. Rereading you comments, I see that that was on purpose. Why? Since it is not a choice I would make, I am wondering what was your reason for that choice?

I really like it - any chance you'd sell a copy of it - small size for an office desk?

Thanks for everyone's reply so far. Perhaps the viewing size I posted earlier makes it difficult to appreciate the image at full size. I've tried to attach a larger image to this post but POTN seems to scale it down. I'd be glad to send a larger proof for you to review.

To me, the blurred vignette (that was added with OnOne's Focal Point) is an artistic choice and also serves to focus the viewer's attention on the main subject of the buildings. There aren't really interesting subjects on the left side of the image but I wanted to keep it there to show the curve of the canal to the camera. The left side of the image doesn't look too dark on the printed image although it may look like it needs to be lightened on the screen. The bridge in the distance is in focus. There is a blur vignette on the top, bottom & right side of the image that may be too difficult to see on this size proof. I really appreciate your specific questions. I hope that answers them.
