I guess I should post something since I am in the automotive strobist thread talking like I know something. I have posted the set up shot a few times so I dont want to spam this thread with it. I left the reflection of the mirror on the front quarter because it felt natural. Only shot of just the car I did. The rest of them have a model. She is the subject so they will go in another thread. They did not want just the car. Rightly so
To photosguy damn the client, I am leaving the shadow in  no choice for them this time. I learned from last time.

I like the lighting very much almost has a flat grey look to it.

 I never noticed it but you are 100% right. It is actually not flat though. I guess the only way to tell is the reflection of the mirror. The highlight on the front bumper does look like a flat paint job.

:D I agree with you, & don't think it would look good without it.
Good shot. Normally I'd like to see some highlights along the top of the door, but in this case, they might hide the graphics which I'm sure that they wouldn't like.

Yeah it is. It is not mine, it is a track car. He drives it on the street and has to do some shows but his main interest is the track

Thanks. Yeah the graphics are white and you cant lose the sponsor stickers to a highlight. I did that a bit to the LRG sticker on the passenger side hood.

Thanks!! The studio is crazy. It does a lot of the work for me if you set everything up right. You either spend time setting up or time in post. I messed up and forgot to put white boards in front of the stands so I had to take those out. Other than that the only real work is putting the shadow in, cutting out the car was not that hard.

I was looking at your blog and love the racing stuff you cover!! I was in Belfast in March :) The bike shoot reminds me of the one I did. McGrady Insurance Stage 2011 I love the jumps!
