need small(er) video light

can anyone recommend me a small video light. currently ive been using a brinkman flashlight (like this one (external link)) and its just too bulky and looks like a gun (ive been stopped many times because of that). ive been thinking about those LED light panels/box that videographers use but am unsure if those will be effective outdoors...any ideas? actually one of those with dimming control would be awesome.
