i have a 430ex flash that wont hss in AV mode
switch it to TV, MAN, it works just fine
the metering says it is correct but it comes way blown out.
shooting with a 7D

If the camera is choosing something faster than 1/250 then HSS is working. Also, there's a custom function that will lock the shutter speed when you are in Av with a flash attached. Check that CF and make sure you are not forcing the shutter speed to something slower. it was in the CF. 70-200 F4 L sold 10-22 sold
