So I shot my in-laws 50th anniversary a couple weeks ago and got some nice images...I think anyway. It was my first time shooting any kind of event, and I did it with my XSi. None-the-less, I have this image that I can see (in my head) what I can do with it, but I can't seem to put it on the screen and get it the way I invision it so here it is. I'd really like to see what you guys can do with it, or if you think I should do anything with it at all. Any CC will be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys!

I would either do black and white and make the skin tones bright (rather than dark and muddy) or bring up the exposure and cool it down a little.

Wow! I think I was just over thinking this photo too much. I really like what you guys did.

nicksan- I like how desaturated it looks but still presents a warmness!

iadudder- that's the closest to what I saw in my head.

What PP program are you guys using? I've got PSE7 right now, but I want to get LR... I feel so limited in PP by PSE7.

I like the shot, I would increase the exposure to the point of blowing out, and lower the clarity just a bit....B&W of course.

I do all my B&Ws in CS5.

I think the bottom of the photo gives it a reference point. IMO, cropping it out removes that reference point, so I think composition-wise, the photo is fine as is.

It's really not a desaturated look. It's B/W with a little bit of gold/brown tint at 50% opacity. I also applied some selective blurring, especially at the bottom of the photo.

I used Photoshop CS5 for this. Took about 2 minutes.

I guess the gold/brown tint explains the warmness in your 2-minute edit. I really like it. LIke I said, I think I was just over-thinking it. I really need to invest in CS or LR...or both.
