The last one brings back memories of Sept 12, 1950, when I first sat in my new office at the Geophysical Institute, Univ. of Alaska, and looked out across that very scene. It soon made me queezy in the stomach. It was several days later before I realized that the colors reminded me of my mother's succotash, which she made by putting a can of string greenbeans with a can of corn - my least favorite dish. I had no further troubles with the fall colors after that. Harold

Thanks all for your comments. I don't live that close to the Mountains, those in the photos are about an hour and a half south of here. It gets pretty cold in the winter (-30f to -60f), so I dont drive anywhere I don't need too. You live and learn, Or you don't live long

We were sure tickled to follow the pipeline down to Prince William Sound. Life is hard...but I just take it one photograph at a time.
