The contemplative Grape Smuggler.

Growing up in Southern California we wore trunks (or as the Australians call them, baggies).

This guy is wearing what we humorously called "grape smugglers" because it look like they were smuggling grapes. Always made us laugh. My friends and I even joked about releasing a line of swimwear called Grape Smugglers, and one day (while completely wasting time) I made a logo.

Stunning yucca's in the sunset, nice work!

My first use of my new 430EX II, the band Adam's Attic was performing at the local outdoor mall. I got some red eye, how do I avoid that or is that something I need to correct in PP?

Check the flash setting menus. There is one setting there for red-eye.

Troy, that Hummingbird is so sharp. Do you just pre focus then take a load of shots in burst and hope to get one?

Thank you! For the hummingbird in flight, I trusted the T2i autofocus system and it did a pretty good job. I did prefocus on the feeder and them moved the camera to the right where the hummingbirds had been approaching the feeder. I was using the canon 70-200 f/4 and so I set the focus to .3-infinity so it could focus faster. I set the autofocus system of the t2i to all focus points (not just center focus) and to AI Servo. I then waited for the little guys to approach the feeder. The nice thing about hummingbirds is they hover so they will approach the feeder and stop. The background was a darker barn so for editing I just lowered the exposure until the background was black, which made the hummingbird really pop. This is a crop too. This shot is a combination of knowing the camera, lens, and observing the behavior of the birds so I knew where they would hover. I love nature/wildlife photography primarily for these challenges.
