@peter -- Why do you strip all of the exif data only leaving your copyright? Your xmas light pictures would be nice to have seen what you shot at.

the way some people batch process and export strips the exif automatically...

so most likely that is it as we (t2i group) post here to show ALL.. including exif.. just ask.. ;)

Just tried covering my pop up flash with my hand so it doesn't emit any light, and the Yongnuo still fires, so that has really got my creative juices flowing!!!!

so wait a minute.. you dont have a wireless trigger doing this? i thought the only way our camera.... oh wait. im thinking i got it.. .the point is with the popup flash.. the camera will shoot the amber light for sensing.... and that is what triggers the remote flash...
DOH...

Nice split tone cow shot Troy, the only thing I don't like about it is the wooden post over on the right hand side, if it wasn't for that Nadav Kander would be proud of that one!!!

Thank you Wide Boy...I debated on the wood post, but chose to leave it as it goes with the old rundown pasture feel.

Tele, fun soccer sets. Maybe a diffuser would help reduce the squinting. I know what it is like being out in that harsh midday sun when shooting my kids' sporting events. The diffuser comes in handy.

No not a flash diffuser... a large foldable sun diffuser. I have one and use it quite often. It helps to diffuse the sun from the subject's eyes. My son has sensitive eyes and squints even with the diffuser sometimes. Of course you have to have someone hold it for you unless you have a stand that can hold it. It is a large foldable disk...mine doubles as a light reflector as well if I put the cover on it. Search "light diffuser" on google and you can see what I mean.

Hi there I was not aware it was doing that, I just started reading the lr3 book oh Scott kelby I kind of follow his step by step. Next time I will make sure that in export window I check the box for metadata (I guess) that way the exit is included.

Thanks for pointing it out.

Great story here..
2 years ago a good friend of ours told us that she gets her xmas tree from our old gym coach (Coach MeatHead)...

so we went last year and got our tree..
this year... having a DSLR (had it last year but my imagination wasnt like it is now)..
my 11yr old actually spotted this...
talked to Coach and he said it was his brothers Mustang... back in 1974 they totally redid the car.. candy apple red, all new chrome, all new interior... then in 1975 it was in an accident.. and has sat here since 1975... Im a chevy guy.. and the ford vs chevy always goes on... but in this case... I tip my hat... our history goes away each day... so many lost memories...

now i didnt realize i set my camera to RAW only.. i usually do RAW+JPG so if the JPG doesnt look good ill attpemt RAW edit..

so please let me know what you see wrong...
also side note.. there was no great way to get to this car... it is really locked in..
this was the best pic i had...

ok.. so after seeing i only did RAW.. i have to learn RAW in a crash course.. crud..

so figures they are also in low light... from our xmas tree picking...

how did I do? now something to realize.. this was a ... QUICK GET CAMERA ON and LENS CAP OFF.. quick aim and shoot b4 they drove by.. my kids on the back of the tractor...
so it isnt the greatest picture as in getting the exposure... but it was the candid shot of my son not knowing I was taking his pic..

Peter $950 is a great price if it's in good condition has the collar, hood & case, never seen one that low on Ebay or on CL. I hope you can work it out as I am having a lot of fun with mine.

For those considering this lens, keep in mind it's fairly slow, to keep the shutter speed above 1/400 at F7.1 or higher (when shooting hand held) you need good light, if it's at all shady or low light conditions you have to push the ISO up in the 800 to 1600 range. But I find the T2i can handle that easily and I see almost no noise. My copy is tack sharp at F7.1 and up even at 400mm.

I can't wait for some auto races in 2012, surfing and of course the air shows, this lens will be perfect for those events. My 70-200 is a great lens but there is quite a difference adding the extra 200mm as you don't have to crop as much thereby losing resolution. This lens opened up a whole new world of photography for me and I found I really enjoy birding.

This will be my last purchase for quite a while as I've spent a lot since June on this hobby. I feel I have a good assortment to get what I need, might even adjust some as I find I may not use some lenses as much as I thought I would. What I am missing is a good low light lens so any additional leses will be 1.8 or faster!
