There is something I like about this image...the simplicity and maybe the way the blown out background looks.

After messing around with other older bodies for awhile.. I'm back to the T2i. This the little DSLR that could that simply can't be beat for the value. And, the quality of pictures in this thread is stunning - nice work all. Anyone who claims the 550D is a 'amateur' body should be immediately directed here. Hopefully I'll have some additions of my own soon!

Peter - I presume that is the new toy in action ??
Super shots.

Troy - lonely sausage on a stick = very nice. I would make the subject a bit brighter and the background a bit darker.

Great pics everyone! Dang, these are getting good!

Just fooling around tonight. No way you are getting me outside in this 40 degree weather! :)

Set the cam to bulb. Never used that setting before. Manual as always. Took this old matchbox bus, put it on a sheet of paper and waved a LED pin-light over it while holding the shutter open manually for a few seconds. Fun to play with. And I stayed warm!

This was with the 50 1.4, ISO 200 in a pitch black room.

Couple more from the the last outing. For some reason Flickr doesn't like my CPL so the colors are really bland.

Thanks tele. I love them too. I am lucky that my work is just about 5 minutes away from the marina where the eagles so far 3 of them hanging out to one of the tallest tree.

Bobobird this is still the 70-200mm. I might comeback in the marina tomorrow and hopefully eagles are hanging out again.

I was thinking of taking my cam in to Boston today on my way to visit my sis at the hospital after her operation. May be take a walk around and shoot pics but it's too damn cold! We're having a high of 30deg today and Canon specifies 32-104F of operation temperatures for our cams. Bummer I don't wanna mess it up with possible condensation so Im not taking the risk. Wind chills are going to be easy below that.. So no, not doin it. :(
