I have been busy with school and stuff but still shooting!! Just acquiring some lighting gear... half of it is still on its way. Here is a shot just messing around with my 80-200mm f2.8 and a 45" umbrella (using yn-560) of my 50mm f1.4.

LOL This is the first time I have come close to getting a shot of the moon that wasn't a blur. I use LR3, can anyone tell me how to reduce the bright halo around the white part of the moon? Thanks,

I want that lens How did you set the background up for that shot?Very simple... Two pieces of white card about 16x20" each. One flat and one propped up against the wall (making a 90 degree angle). Basically I just blew out the dark line where the two pieces meet just enough so you cant see it. I'm going to get some seamless paper soon so i don't have to do that! Another piece of card acted as a reflector to fill the shadows on the other side. The umbrella was 45 degrees to the left, and 45 degrees above the lens. Hopefully that makes sense! .

Another thing might be to adjust the highlights and light down on the tone curves. One last thing that might help is using the adjustment brush, reduce the brightness slider of the adjustment bursh, and brushing over the haloed area. I hope that helps. The name's Troy.
