There is family of 4 RTHs around my work and this one yesterday caught some lunch right as I was heading out for lunch. try to keep your stomach down.

1. Squirrel: OH SNAP I'M DONE!!!

I sure hope the poor little bugger was already dead in that first pic. #7 almost looks like it could be a little foetus in a sack, not sure how squirrels form though.

I think he was toast within a few minutes of capture, those talons pierce the internals so yeah he was dead when it landed in the tree, I didn't see it moving at all. :cry:

Saw a RTH nail a "tree rat" in our backyard a few years ago. BAM and it was over for the little guy . . . and off the RTH went to have his dinner.

Red Tails are such noble creatures. Glad you were prepared to take those sharp photos! Thanks for sharing.
