About myself yes i do sharpen my shots before i post here or anywhere, and if you want more sharpness then at the end of your post processing before sharpening, convert to JPEG and then apply sharpness. That initial sharpening in Lightroom is what is usually referred to as "capture sharpening", and is intended to take care of softness connected with bayer interpolation (and the default sharpening is quite low). When you post an image, you should use the Output module in Lightroom to export an image at the appropriate size, and let Lightroom sharpen for that output size and medium (screen, glossy paper, matte paper, etc).
