I've always loved the SD series...for some reason every girlfriend I have gets into photography, and I always tell them to start out with SDs and they're always happy...so, I've played around with quite a few SDs, and always liked them (I used to have an SD790 IS as well).

Well, an SD1000 came up locally for $30...should I grab it? I have a 1D Mark III and a Canon G9, and I have the 1D for when I want keepers, the G9 when I don't feel like lugging the 1D around and I'm thinking of getting the SD1000 so I have something to slap into my bag and not care about...

But...I'm also thinking of selling the G9 and grabbing an S95...but that's a hell of a lot more of an investment than $30...opinions?

Thanks,
Tamas

That's what I'm thinking...I've been using my old Sony Ericsson k850i for snapshots, but I'm a bit of a Canon addict, and I'd love to have an SD kicking around my bag, it's not perfect, but for something to just toss in my pocket/bag for emergencies, I don't think I can beat it...especially at the price...emailed the seller :)

I use my Ericsson cell phone camera for snaps or auto accident emergency shots, etc only..that's all I expect from it. Any past or present SD/ ELPH will completely blow it out of the water. My current SD980 will blow an iphone 4 cam out as well

If you dont have a small, pocketable point shoot and that SD1000 works, GET IT! Its $30, you really cant go wrong. I LOVED my SD1000 when I had it! Great little camera!

For $30 to me it's a no-brainer. I have an SD1200 IS to carry around when I don't want to or can't lug around my 40D. It fits in my pocket and takes fantastic, 10mb pictures - plus movies. And it's compatible with the same EOS Utility I use to download the pix from my 40D.

What are you waiting for???

Jim

Haha I'm not! I emailed him, just trying to work out the details, though I suspect he may be too far :(

It's not fishy at all...just an ad I saw on a message board for English teachers in Korea, and sometimes people forget to put their locations when they post stuff up for sale...usually it's the Seoul people, because they assume everyone is in Seoul haha
