Yes it is, specially on FF. I regret that I didn't start with 5D2+50/1.8II combo, because everybody was yelling about how lenses are much more important than the body. I've learned my lesson .

Exactly the reason why I'm still hanging on to my 50mm mk1 even though it's collecting dust in my camera bag. Sigma 30mm became my new favorite lens for now.
