Hi pkilla. I bought my 30mm from Adorama. They even went through the hassle of focus testing the lens with the T2i they have at the store, but either due to body-to-body difference or their tolerance of acceptable range, I was not completely happy. I sent the lens and body to NJ service center, got them back a week later, and I couldn't be any happier. When in doubt, just send it in for calibration!

God I love this picture of a beautiful and really cute cat (Scottish Fold?)! I love it so much that I'm already using it as my iPhone 3GS lockscreen wallpaper. Hope you don't mind. Would be lovely to also get it in 2048x2048 (iPad 3) and 1920x1080 (my monitor resolution).

Just to clarify, this is the thrify fifty, yes? I bought mine for £70. Haven't taken it out yet, only got it yesterday night. A few taken inside, just playing around with the f/1.8...

I can't believe how light it is, I worry that when I take it off my camera it might float away. For low-light photography I've been using a Sigma 17-50 f/2.8 with a Canon 60D, and struggled in low light. My Nikon friend was using a 50mm f/1.8 with very nice results. So I picked this up cheap to see how it is!
