My cat is also named Oreo, but she's big and fat and only white on her stomach. LMFAO that's Hilarious. I mostly stick to f2.8 than drop to f2.4 - f1.8 for closeups. Keep in mind though, I use my flash. The Lighting in my Apartment is atrocious. Good lighting ie Flash helps me keep that ISO at 100-200 Which helps with Sharpening. Also Shooting in RAW helps a lot too. As for Post Sharpening, I have a Photoshop Action that works really well. It's called "Sharpen Perfection". I've been messing with various Sharpening techniques for Years, this seems to be the best one so far. It sharpens the most without adding unwanted Halo's.
