I used a Canon EF 12mm (MkII) extension tube for getting in close, a fantastic inexpensive bit of kit.

The bike was strobed with lots if exposures by a yongnuo speedlight in a 16" square softbox, highlighting the various surfaces and details of the bike. The fire was two separate exposures (foreground/background​) with a rope soaked in lighter fluid tied to a metal pole then walked across the frame on a 4 second exposure.

I layered all of the strobe shots first, erasing the big blown highlights and adjusting the layers to taste. I then added in the fire layers. The rear fire exposure had some cool orange reflections on the bike, so i added those to the mix as well.
