Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II - Nifty Fifty (B)

noori rocks.. I'm not sure but I think she is still using the 450D/XSi.. and if so she is the best I've seen using that body...

I simply love the 50 1.8 focal lensgth vs the 85 1.8... the 85 is no slouch but I love what you capture with the 50... (ona crop)... Creativity takes flight...

I saw a video a yr ago of a guy with a hammer - smacking the mount glass element of the 50 1.8... and he had to hit it 'really' hard to make it crack.

So... did yours take a bullet to the eye or something?!

anyways, you know its price - its more attainable than any 50 on the planet

The horror... the horror.

I think a bullet would have been easier to deal with than seeing a garbage truck run over my camera bag, that's what happened. Instead of spending the $100 on a new f1.4 I'll just wait a bit and get a 50mm L f1.2. I think that's a better idea haha

Here's a closeup 100% crop of a spider with this little lens. Handheld, no PP, just the crop. I thought that it wasn't too bad.
