First time i tried it, I left the camera in AV with spot metering,,, the finished photo looked like a crossword puzzle. I know it sounds a bit morbid,,, but I learned how to do this on gravestones & statues at my local church. It's a fascinating technique,,, effectively creating shots taken by a lens that could not exist in real life.
