Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II - Nifty Fifty (B)

Quick question, I have the opportunity to purchase a original mkI in mind condition, should I sell my mkII and get the original one for 120.00 or just keep mine. Mine is in excellent condition and works fine.

buy the Mk 1, see which one you prefer/sharper, and sell the other...

nice shots although if you don't mind me saying - you should really keep a shutter to at least double of what your focal length is, most especially when using a non-IS lens such as the 50 f/1.8

So in other words try a shutter of 100 or 120...

in order to ballance your exposure however, if your shutter is that low (100) - your ISO would have to also be around 100 in good light - therefore your aperture would have to be a big number (small aperture like f/8 for example)

The beauty of this 50mm f/1.8 lens is that if you shoot at f/2 or so, you can have a really high shutter if need be, again as long as you are exposing the subject properly.

If shooting at a shutter of 50 or slower you should really use a tripod to avoid camera shake.
