Nov 21, 2019 18:24 | #6035 I know I've posted these shots before, but I just can't get over the painterly bokeh background that is caused by the fumes of the portable heaters they use on the sidelines. You have to look at the photo large to see exactly what I'm talking about. This is Stephon Tuitt. He may be our best defensive player, not to mention probably one of the nicest guys on team, but he was injured & out for the season. mdvaden Goldmember More info Post edited over 3 years ago by mdvaden. | Nov 22, 2019 12:11 | #6037 This is the Canon FD 300mm f/4 shot at what I recall as f/5.6. Having already the RF 50mm 1.2 and EF 85mm 1.2, I started shopping for lighter alternatives to the likes of Sigma 105mm or Canon 200mm 2.0. After browsing lots of image samples I realized the old FD or new EF 300mm f/4s produce results that are more than ample. For context, the orange spots are oak leaves about 130 feet behind. My favorite macro subject. Just not one that's found around my neck of the woods often.

Hosted photo: posted by mdvaden in ./showthread.php?p=18964354&i=i178436537 forum: Lens Sample Photo Archive I sometimes use my EF 300mm f/4L for the same purpose, with good results too. If you've got one, why not?
