It's a great walk-around lens, and I was pleasantly surprised by the results, since I've rarely used it before. I actually took it out again a few days ago. I'm currently looking to buy a 70-300 L, which will likely become my primary lens. But I'd definitely recommend the 55-250 if you're not looking to pay for L glass.
