I'm new to using flashes and was wondering what cheap flash I should get to mess around with? I don't want something expensive, just something to help me learn. I have a Canon Rebel XS. Thanks!

Jun 24, 2011 16:44 | #2 The Yongnuo YN-467 is probably the least expensive option with ETTL. I don't own one so I'm not comfortable fully endorsing it but you should be able to get some better informed opinions here with a quick search. Jim

If you just want a flash to mess around with and learn about bouncing and diffusers, its as value packed as you can get! You can decide if you want or need TTL later (some don't need it, some love it) My junk

So, are you recommending the Nissin di622 over the YN468? You're last sentence threw me off. 60D • 18-135 IS • 24-105L 55-250 IS • 50 1.8 II • 430EX II • Kenko Extension Tubes • 190CXPRO4 • 498RC2

It can be user upgradable firmware via usb, and have more power then the YN, which tend to overstate their guild number. Traveling is my passion, so I am a major Frequent Flyer.
