Frank....(in a loud/panic voice) I can't get to my car... come quick... there is a lizard by the car. :D this is what my wife yelled out... GOOD TIMES! LOL

Well... turned out to be a very cool looking gecko. I've seen geckos around the house before but they have all be a desert tan/sand color. This one had cool markings.

He we pretty interesting to view. He even made a squeaking noise when I picked him up. No harm was brought to him... after the mini session I put him out on our porch, turned on the light to attract some bugs as well.

Blog post and how it was shot. (external link)

On to the photos.

Correct on the ID. And beautiful shots of a beautiful creature.

Caught one in my backyard here in Vegas one night last summer, took a few shots and let it go. Never saw it again :(

This is the 1st I've seen... have lived in AZ and NM for about 20 years now... pretty cool looking little thing.

It's Africa hot here at the moment... this time of year makes us want to move to some place cool. Then the heat passes (in a few months) and winter hits... which really isn't winter... it's just a cool phase.... lol... but it's wonderful.

thanks for the comments all.
