Got some Nikkor manual primes. What focus screen do I use on a 5Dc? I switch between EOS and Nikkor primes often on a few gigs I work at, mostly my 50/1.4, 55/3.5 and 105/2.5.

I have a Nikon FG and the focus screen on that thing is AWESOME. Really helps me nail the focus.

The Ee-S screen is designed for manual focusing on the 5dc. It should work well with the lenses you have, but slower lenses will produce darker viewfinder. I think they go for about $40-45.

Gear: EOS 5DMKII; EOS 400D (infrared converted); Canon 24-105mm f/4 L; Sigma 17-35mm f/2.8-4 EX; Canon 70-200mm f/4 L; Canon 135mm f/2.0 L; Pentax SMC Takumar 50mm f/1.4 with EOS adaptor, Rokinon 14mm f/2.8; only enough knowledge to be a clear and present danger to society.

Canon Ee-S. I'm not sure whether it will meter properly at f/1.4 - it's OK for me with f/1.8 and smaller maximum aperture Olympus lenses. I have seen many, many online complaints that the metering doesn't work, but I am convinced these people are forgetting to set the custom function when they install the screen.

Canon don't supply a split-image prism screen for this camera, but on the cameras they do it screws up the spot metering.
