My original intention was to show how dark it is around here. I took the back roads home from the fireworks and in many places the only light is from my truck's headlights. The stars were really dim last night, so nothing much was showing up. And that barn is light painted. I only had an LED flashlight with me so it's not very bright. I'll take a MAG light next time. Getting closer would be easy enough, I only had my gorillapod (misplaced my QR plate again) and was wearing flipflops.

Very nice, Jake. I see Waterloo Station, and the Eurostar trains. Nice views from the "Eye".

Hey gang, checking in --

I got out yesterday, took some photos of the town's Fourth festivities, and then the mirror on my 5D fell off:(, a "known problem" with a free fix, but I've never gotten into shipping stuff or having stuff serviced before so I'm having to wade into this -- any tips?

Anyway, I haven't even begun processing photos from yesterday...

I am disappointed, though -- the mirror fell off when I was doing a short little burst during a music performance -- I could see things going crazy in the viewfinder for a couple shots before the camera just stopped. But, when I got home and imported my pics, the only indicator was that the last frame was pure black, none of the crazy stuff -- darn!

Anyway...

Yes, Todd has a whole bunch of truly awesome work that he's been building up -- he's one of those photogs here who has been "finding his niche" and filling it nicely!
