hehehe we just have to wait then

I doubt that would happen... its probably gonna be the 70-200mm f/4 and not the 70-300mm..but I don't think they would release both.

as for the 35mm f/2G I hope its under $500 and I would definitely want one hehe

Seems very promising. They need to release a 70-200 f4 to combat canon.

yeah but I just realize the Nikkor 35mm f/1.4G has just come out...so that 35mm f/2 does not seem like it would become reality anytime soon hehe

why not? maybe they are making cheaper primes to cater the lower end market... its a bit disappointing with Nikon if you are using those D3000, D3100, D5000, D5100 coz you can't use AF on a lot of those older primes.

Why not a 1.8? Also, I don't think the 35 f/2 has much place either. With the 35 1.8 for DX and a 35 1.4 for FX

but then there is like a $1400 difference between the two lenses you mentioned Shane... soo if they put a 35mm f/2 in the middle of the two, a cheap 35mm f/2 for FF at around $500 then I would think it would be a hot seller. I am longing for one, but the f/1.4 is very expensive.

a f/1.8 would be better, but Nikon has a history of making f/2 lenses

I suppose. But this is why I shoot canon ;) I have all the lenses I could want... well except two :rolleyes:

Also, to your $1400 different point, there is a significant difference between those who shoot FX and those who will shoot DX.

not sure if I am doing something wrong or Google is just preventing me from inviting anybody... :(

I got an email saying you invited me, and I can see what you posted, it just won't let me sign up as there is no room right now.
