i did a facepalm today, i bought a 35 1.4 L yesterday and when i tried it out left the hood off

so today i today when i took the lens out, i noticed the petal hood was missing and a solid hood was in the box

so all my pics had vignetting, i noticed it on the first pic and thought of Jake yesterday with his hood cocked sideways, facepalm

I think Jake meant to say that the 7D has maxed out his capabilities. Education and practice are needed before the 7D allows him to proceed.

The Fricks doesn't need any education! He already knows everything. Just ask him.

So, apparently he's invited so many people that he's used up all available space in Google's servers.

Kinda like what he's trying to do to POTN.

 Steven takes down Google+ before it even gets off the ground

No need to ask, he tells without prompting ;)

Although we do need to remember that he is the guy that thought Canada only had three hockey teams

It is at times such as these, that I am proud to be a Canadian :D

I will have to admit that Canadian behavior (except for those in Vancouver) is such that no one has ever been inspired to create a movie called "The Ugly Canadians." We here in the U.S.A. cannot make such a claim.

And sadly, in my long life I've met many Americans who have made me ashamed of my country's people.

I suppose. But this is why I shoot canon ;) I have all the lenses I could want... well except two

what are those two? hehe

ShaneHunter wrote in post #12710521 (external link)
Also, to your $1400 different point, there is a significant difference between those who shoot FX and those who will shoot DX.

but still, I am a poor FX shooter...and $1600+ for a prime is just too much hehe

I got an email saying you invited me, and I can see what you posted, it just won't let me sign up as there is no room right now.

ahhh I see... James just added me

see they know all about you :D

hahahaha indeed..

Jill-of-all-Trades wrote in post #12710652 (external link)
Yup. It takes a basic level education to be able to read the manual. Looking at the pictures helps some, but that will only get you so far. The 7D is an expert at identifying those that are not up to par on it's capabilities. :D

where is Jake? hahahaha very true... and besides... Jake better stay at single digit camera models or he might get confused past the 10D hehe

That's par for the course. I'll bet he doesn't know what a "wardrobe malfunction" is either.

ohhh I like the 16-35mm better than the 14-24mm for sure... :D I've got enough gear to bring I don't want another lens that would make me worry about the front element hehe
