I actually have no idea or undestanding of baseball at all...but I just saw it somewhere around yahoo's page... and $5million and 16 year old definitely doesn't make sense so I opened it up haha

Exactly...It'll be hard to feel justified going from f/1.4 L primes to f/2 Leica primes...and if he can swallow that drop, then you're still looking at:

M9 = $7k
35/2 = $3k
50/2 = $2k
90/2 = $3.7k

Essentially, most of the Leica f/2 glass = 2x the cost of Canon L primes, and he won't get near MSRP when he sells his used. But he looks to have enough glass there to pull a 3-lens setup in the f/2 lineup and maybe even jump up to the 50/1.4 for $3.7k. Elsewise, he'll have to sub in some Voigtlanders to get the most versatility for his $$$.

Then again I'm already running Ultegra, so it would be an easy upgrade

Evolution of the bike my friend. Im all for it! The full Ultegra system will sell for less next year than the current Dura-ace group which goes for $2400.

In terms of weight im about saving pounds and not grams. Ill take the slight up take in weight this system would bring. If its good for tour de france riders its good for me Not that im riding the types of bikes they are but i welcome the tech.

Plans of a new bike next year look better and better. This trek 2.3 will be a great back up bike

Nothing surprises me with the rangers regardless of owner Being dominican im just happy for the kid
