Thanks Jake. I dont own the 50L just because the Sigma 50 1.4 is so good. Its performance is just a bit under the 50L at 1/3 the price. If you could swap out the Canon 50 1.4 for the Sigma 50 1.4 i would. If not then hey the best 1.4 is the one you own :D

Trust me you dont need a hard ware manager to tell you that a macbook pro is the answer!!! i have owned mine for 6 years and its still running strong even with right side of the computer all dented up.(been to many airports and many xray machines)

Sounds like a good case for a different water treatment system. Something like reverse osmosis.

Is your water softened with the salt or with zeolite? Ours doesn't give it a bad taste at all, it improves the taste. We do use a Brita filter for drinking water that we put in the fridge.

Softened with potassium chloride, not really that bad except the E + really taste good.

Thats what the desktop users here did. I wanted portability and power in my system. So i purchased the sandybridge macbook pro. First laptop on the market with it at the time. I havent looked back since.
