they don't and canon USA will not repair it... but there are usually 3rd party repair centers that would probably repair it

yeap exactly... that's how I think about my Nikon gear right now, can't rely on any warranties for all my Nikon gear so I am basically on my own after 7 days of buying my gear :(

thats true and now days do we really need the dvd slots with downloading programs off the internet and movies from itunes. Come to think of it i never use mine...

I dont remember the last time i used a DVD drive :lol: You could always hook up an external one. Dirt cheap these days.
