I can't really believe I am contemplating on a $1000 tripod setup and can't really accept buying a $2000 mbp  haha

thats true and now days do we really need the dvd slots with downloading programs off the internet and movies from itunes. Come to think of it i never use mine...

I use mine, sometimes but I do have an external dvd drive, so I don't really need it much too

vipergts831 wrote in post #12713264 (external link)
I dont remember the last time i used a DVD drive  You could always hook up an external one. Dirt cheap these days.

not sure what you guys see on Mac OS...but windows 7 has been pretty nice.. no bugs no glitches whatever..at least from my experience.

one thing I like about Mac OS though is its ability to read Raw, but I hate the dock thing on the bottom, really annoying hehe

cool pic Tom, i like the lighting :D

Thanks...it was a test picture (testing AF and CA) and one of the first I took with the Sigma/D700 combo...

The Sigma 50/1.4 turned out to be my favorite BIF lens!:lol:

nice ride there Tony :D

Yup 56 Chevy, when I was in college in 1960 I drove two cars, a 1960 Valiant slant six with hurst stick shift and straight thru hollywood muffler, then my aunt an hacindera from Iloilo with sugar cane plantatioin Negros, needed a car while in Manila and left in my care a 1958 two door Batman Chevy, she left it with green color and convinced her to repaint ith red and white similar to above. In later years she bought an olds and a 1967 Valiant. I enjoyed picking up coeds with those two cars a muscle car, at least noisy Valiant and that stick shift is handy in touching legs, and a fancy red and white two door Bel Air. My friend had a top down, 57 Fairlane, another a 57 port hole thuderbird, but we all borrowed my best friend Vauxhaul 490.

Cheers,
Tony

yeah but GF is using it and I go crazy about it  and when I opened up my sisters Mac Air, she was using it too

maybe its the core 2 duo on the GF's MBP, but I feel like my laptop is a bit faster than hers for half the price...
