i'm not a jewellery person at all, worked around machinery all my life, not the plan, and now i'm retired i have no desire to wear any :D

Same here. Quit wearing a watch in high school when I injured my wrist. Watch band sits right on top of the injury and it still bothers me. No bracelets for the same reason. Have one ring that I can wear without it bothering me. Several years ago I had a workplace accident that could have cost me my left ring finger, but just left me with scars instead. I do wear a small, light necklace but it goes under my shirt when I'm working.

It will be 14 years this December since I injured my wrist. I managed to wear a watch during the day while I was in Ukraine the last time. I was on my own most of the time and needed to know what time it was all the time. The watch I wore is the same watch I was wearing when I got the injury. I still have it, and it's still running on the same battery :D

Can you place the watch on the non-injured hand?

I switch wrists to avoid the dreaded watch tan. ;)

Most I think just check their cells anyways.

I have too many meetings for work and outside of it. A watch is invaluable to me.

Watches
In college I was so proud to have a Breitling chronometer my dad purchased in Germany when he went there under German study grant plus an Agfa training, he also gave me my first 35 mm a Voigtlander.
The watch aside from very useful in drag race timing and rallying also had the circular slide ruleso I actaully carried three slide rules in school, the regular rule and one my dad bought from Lafayette electronic mail order a slide rule with vectors...anyway I lost the watch to a snatcher, on the only time I ride the jeepney, saving money and did not take a taxi, in 1969 when I had the spoiler of my mustang repaired for a few nick. That watch now cost$4000 +.

Fast forawrd I love all the new Seiko digitals, with calculators, etc etc...I have plenty plenty if dress watches but fir last 30 years been using tag heuers as day to day watch.

Cheers,
Tony
