I have a quick question. For some reason my 5d mark II stared back focusing. I want to sent it to canon. how long does it normally take to get the camera back and what is the process. I never shipped anything to them. Thanks again.

You can also fill out the repair form online via Canon's site. Pack the gear well, insure it, and Canon will send you an estimate and acknowledgment when they receive your gear. You can get the center's address online, they have 3 current centers for SLR gear, but I believe Newport may be out of service for a little bit. If you are not a CPS member the turn around varies but I would imagine somewhere around 7-14 days perhaps 21 if the center is really busy. I never adjusted anything, but my tamron 28-75 and my canon 50 1.8 (I used this on this camera for 5 months) started focusing on the wall instead of its target | 5D mark III | 5D mark II gripped | Canon 100L |Canon 24-105L | Canon 70-200L 2.8L IS II | Sigma 35 1.4 | Sigma 50 1.4 | Sigma 85 1.4 | 580ex II | 430ex II x 2 |
