I am looking for suggestions on what lens to add to my collection. I have had many lenses and sold/upgraded over the past couple years for various reasons am i'm looking for ideas on the most beneficial set up for weddings and seniors as well as fun lenses for personal shooting. So tell me what you ideal 4 lens set up would be plus an additional 5th lens that would be nice to have.

I currently have 17-40 f/4L, 70-200L, Sigma 50 1.4 and Sigma 24-70. I'm still playing with the 24-70 range and the fast prime.

I'm considering the 24-105 f/4L, 24-70 2.8L (sold for the Sigma), 135 f/2L, 85 f/1.8, Sigma 85 1.4, Canon 28 f/1.8 among a few others.

Thanks for your input.

IMO I would say 70-200 F2.8L IS, 16-35f2.8L, 24-70 2.8L and a 100 2.8L IS Macro. I think those ranges would have everything covered but a 17mm ts-e would be nice as well. really depends on your shooting style.

16-35, 24-70, and 70-200 are all the lenses I own, for weddings. I'll get the new Nikon 50 F1.8 G once it's available.

For me, my ideal line up is what I have, otherwise I wouldn't have it. Less the 100-400 for weddings, of course. Arguably, the 85 and 100 are redundant, though they each have their specific purposes. And there are times when I consider adding the 14L, but just can't justify the additional cost.

For seniors I would want 135L and/or an 85 of your choice.
