Hi All,

Inspire By This Thread: This is why I use a UV filter

Most of us here wouldn't have the heart to destroy lenses and camera for settle this old argument. Only few people in this earth do those things in the name of 'science' and entertainment (more IMO). Why not send some suggestion for the Mythbusters ?! They are running out the idea anyway.

I'm cooking up my e-mail to them now;
AND I NEED YOUR SUPPORT, PLEASE :lol:

Have fun :lol::lol::lol:

I'm almost certain that dropping my 20D from eyelevel onto concrete improved the quality of the shots, especially from the 16-35 that I had mounted at the time: https://photography-on-the.net …entid=217276&d=1193736894

some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", and an M5, also an M6 that has had a 720nm filter bolted onto the sensor:

It seems like a topic with too little mass appeal for a them. Why don't you buy some old broken lenses off eBay (as long as the front element is intact) and some cheap filters and document the results?

Oh I'm sure the general public has SO MUCH interest in that topic and rating is gonna go through the roof!

I can't imagine how much fun the show is gonna be watching them putting filters after filters onto lens and taking pictures after pictures for the whole hour! That's so exciting!

5D3 and a few lens

Get them to solve the 24-70 vs 24-105 and RAW vs JPEG mysteries while you're at it. :p

Seriously though...blowing up stuff is going to make better TV.

I met Adam Savage last year at an event. Very personable. He is a photographer, and he owns Canon equipment. Don't know if he'd do any photography myths on the show, but he might get a kick out of you suggesting some.

If they were going to do one, I'd like to see them cover the "hot pixel fix".

I am serious....and don't call me Shirley.

Sounds more like something you could see on DigitalRev TV. They destroy stuff all the time, so it might be worth a suggestion to them.
